Her Other Life – Day Eleven

Today I wrote 638/5K. Ha! I win because I challenged myself to write 500 words. 😉

So, yeah, remember how I was feeling super gross last time I wrote?

Guess who got a mega kidney infection for Christmas? Good times. You haven’t lived until you’ve peed blood.

The catheter I had in while getting my hysterectomy is most likely to blame and I’m now on a strong dose of Ciprofloxacin – yes, the very same stuff they give you for anthrax! How metal am I?

Not metal enough to go on with life as though I wasn’t peeing blood.

So, super slacking on the writing this week. I was expecting it to be rough as we had Christmas and two birthdays happening, but this kidney infection was an added treat.

I’m challenging myself to write 500 words per day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will get back on the 5K train on Monday. I’ve got 30K left to write before the 17th and I’m going to need at least a day to fix typos before I send it to Susan.

Cheer me on!
