New website for contemporary romance!

Greetings! I’ve got a new website ( www.staceywallace.com) especially for my contemporary romance novels – and a new name! Well, I guess if you knew me prior to 2002, then the name Stacey Wallace isn’t new at all, but if you’ve only known me by my books, you’ve got one less last name to type. 🙂

As many of you who follow the Stacey Wallace Benefiel site know, I got divorced in 2013. This all happened shortly after I published Crossing, and my name was still Stacey Wallace Benefiel, so that’s what I put on the book.

This is also when I discovered that I enjoy writing contemporary romance more than I like writing YA paranormal – especially the kind of PNR I write with all of the time-rewinding and love quadrangles. I am burnt out on trying to figure out how my characters save the world and end up with their soulmate. Again.

So, if you’ve been waiting for Fearless, that’s why it has been taking me so long. I’d written myself into a crazy mess that made me want to cry every time I tried to untangle it. But, take heart, I’ve finally figured it out and after some MEGATON rewrites, Fearless will be out in December.

That’s what’s happening with SWB. Now, I’m not saying I will never write another paranormal story, but I’m taking a two year break from it after the release of Fearless.

In 2016, everything shifts over to contemporary romance. I’ve got two new Open Door books coming out in May and June. One about Gabe’s friend Travis Chandler from Diving In and another about a veterinarian who has a thing for the non-committal vet-tech with secrets, Ryan, from My Remedy. After those two, I’ll be writing like a crazy woman all summer and into fall to bring you a completely new series called(probably?), How We Got Here. Six novellas, each following a different couple from the first time they met through the end of their relationship. All of the couples are intertwined and their stories will be too. Those will be releasing once a week in November and December.

If you’d like to keep up with all of that action, the Stacey Wallace newsletter signup is here. Or, if you’re not a newsletter person, you can also subscribe to the blog. The signup is in the footer on www.staceywallace.com

The Stacey Wallace Benefiel newsletter will still be sent out from time to time. There are two newsletter signups on this website, as well as place to subscribe to the blog posts.

I can hear all three of you wondering aloud about what happened to the Day of Sacrifice series and the Reina Stowe stories. Well, you three are in luck! Each of those series has their own website as well. You can find Day of Sacrifice here, and Reina Stowe here. I am most probably never maybe nah not ever going to write more of those. 🙂

Okay, I’m off to work at my part-time lunch lady job (that’s a whole other story!) Hope you all have a lovely day and aren’t too confused by my name switcheroo.

Peace,

Stacey
