PSA

To the person(s) who has Googled “Glimmer by Stacey Wallace Benefiel PDF” six times in the last week, you can find the PDF version at Smashwords and All Romance e-books.

Sure, you can also find it for free all over the interwebs at sucktastic pirating sites, but I thought I’d give you the benefit of the doubt and let you know where you can get a legal copy. 🙂

In less snarky news, the print version of the complete Zellie Wells trilogy has a cover and is in the review process at Createspace.

I’ll let you all know when it’s available.  It’s priced at $24.99, which is higher than I wanted to price it, but still a discount from buying all three books separately.  It might also help you to know that if you buy any of my print books through Barnes and Noble or Borders, that I make $0.00.

Yup.  Zero dollars.

I do a little better on Amazon and my Createspace e-store.

Of course, right now you can’t get any of the books in print because they’re all in review, but that should change by the end of the week and I’ll post fresh links.

The complete trilogy should be available in e-book form (at a much more reasonable price) at the end of this week as well.

Last bit of info, it’s free Slurpee day at 7-11.  Get on that.

  1. Well I am glad I got Glimpse and Glimmer at Amazon then 🙂 I think a slurpee a day is a great idea !

  2. Ha! Yes, thank you! I signed up for expanded distribution so that libraries can order the books and Barnes and Noble/Borders is kind of included in that deal. Oh, well, more exposure and more people reading. Nothing bad about that!

  3. I hope this person is actually looking for a version to PAY for rather than a free version. I’ve found my books on free sites, too. It happens. But since people are actually buying, there must be a lot of honest people out there who want to pay for what they get.

The three book set must have a lot of pages. I just priced Jonathan Eli’s book on CreateSpace at $10.99. At least he’s going to get .45 in expanded distribution. One of the biggest reasons I chose expanded distribution for him, and also will for myself, is because your royalty is higher on Amazon and CreateSpace, and the copies you buy for yourself are cheaper. So I think it’s worth the $39. But I still think it’s sucky that the royalty is so low (or nonexistent) for the expanded distribution channels.

  4. I changed the interior formatting on the Zellie books so that I now make .64-.70 on them at Barnes and Noble…but now they appear to be a lot shorter! Yeah, the trilogy is still 596 pages even with the more squished together formatting, so the price was going to be more than the $14 I wanted to charge for it no matter what I did.
My sister is setting up her own store on her website right now and I’m thinking if that works out for her, I may try that out. Then I can really price stuff at whatever I want!

  5. Did you do a 6 x 9 or a 5.5 x 8.5 book? I did the 6 x 9 for my friend because his was a lot longer than mine. I’m going to do mine as 5.5 x 8.5 so it won’t look so short in print. His was about 85,000 and mine was about 50,000.

  6. I did a 5.5 x 8.5. All the books are around 200 pages now and the way I had them formatted before they were all 262. I’m a 50K kinda gal myself. Longer than that and I feel like I’m going on and on. 🙂 I had to get over my need to have the books appear longer so that I could actually make 65 cents on them. Ah, the pride vs. royalties issue. Ha!
