Be October now.

Do months have more days in them than usual this year?  Holy Christ on a cracker it seems like the last week of every month lasts 10 days.  I’ve nothing too substantial to report today, just a little bit of business.

The newly formatted Glimpse is up on Smashwords, Amazon, and Goodreads.  It costs $2.99 now, but it is as typo free as it is ever going to get and the chapter headings are actually at the top of the page instead of at the bottom! (On the Amazon version at least.)  This was all supposed to change October 1st, but Amazon is on the ball for once and it’s already done.  There can be no perfect planning for these things.

If you’re beta reading Glimmer, I’m going to start editing and formatting it next week.  Please get your comments and corrections back to me by next Monday at the latest.  I’m more than anxious to get Glimmer good to go! (I heart the letter G.)

I’ve been working like a mad woman to get Day of Sacrifice done in time to give away a couple of copies at Zombiepalooza over at Amanda Hocking’s blog.  There is going to be awesomeness happening the entire month of October.  My guest post and giveaway will be on the 27th.

That’s all for today.  The girl has a playdate and then I’ve got to take my transcription final for the second time.  Wish me luck!

  1. I know I suck. Seriously. I had started reading on the laptop so I could annotate, as I always get frustrated by wanting to make beta notes when I read on the Reader. But then, I never want to read stories on the laptop. I need to find a system. (Like a new device with up to date tech?) Anyway, gotta go out of town tonight or tomorrow morning, so I need to put Glimmer on the Reader and at least try to read through it that way. Sorry for being a bad beta. September cannot possibly go on for extra days because I will not survive.

What did you use to convert for Goodreads?

  2. You don’t suck. I don’t like reading on the computer either, but it is the easier way to take notes. Don’t worry too much about it, I’d just really like to know what you think about Glimmer and any major things that confuse you.

I put up the e-pub from Smashwords on Goodreads. The bummer about GR is you have to get to $50 before they will pay you and that takes forever with such a low priced book. I think of it more as another way for people to read a long sample of it-like Scrbd and YouPublish. No one has bought it on GR yet, but several have read samples. I think they probably buy it from Amazon after they read it on GR.
